The goal in creating the Farr®
36 One Design is for a strict one-design that combines high quality design
and construction, superb performance, offshore capability, excellent
transportability with reasonable cost and without the influence of any
handicap rule constraints.
The use of carbon throughout, bow pole and huge 150 square meter spinnaker
will guarantee exhilarating downwind performance whilst the 2.6m draft and
1430kg of ballast will make the Farr®
36 One Design a "giant killer" up wind as well.
This sailing machine will be easy for inexperienced crews to handle and will
never stop rewarding the most experienced sailor.
